National Director Reimbursement
Location: The Woodlands, TX
Scope of the Job:
This position is based in the Woodlands, Texas; a resort community located just outside of Houston. The position reports to the Vice President of Managed Care. Your primary responsibility will be to direct activities of the corporate Reimbursement Department including reimbursement operations, billing and coding training, and revenue cycle improvement activities. You will direct the implementation and evaluation of corporate reimbursement policies and procedures, direct and approve training and support materials for the training of correct coding and billing procedures in accordance with Federal and State billing guidelines. You will support and adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
The perfect candidate will be a high-energy professional with a proven track record of building and leading a world-class reimbursement organization. You should have a strong presence along with excellent presentation skills, and be comfortable at all levels within an organization.
Directs reimbursement operations, including regional reimbursement training programs, and provides input to process improvement provided at practice specific locations.
Assists the Vice President of Managed Care with the development of reimbursement policies and procedures and subsequently directs the implementation of those policies and procedures.
Directs the development and oversees staff which is responsible for the implementation of all billing and coding training and support materials, inclusive of monthly newsletters, on line tutorials, Best Practice tools, etc.
Assists the Vice President of Managed Care with compliance issues as needed.
Candidate Profile and Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline. MBA, MHA preferred.
2. 12+ years of healthcare management experience in reimbursement with a large health system plus 5+ years supervisory experience, coaching, developing, and managing staff.
3. Significant experience with revenue cycle best practices.
4. Knowledge of healthcare planning, finance, marketing, reimbursement, and related activities.
